Renee Taylor

Renee Taylor is the founder and director of Swallow & Speech Therapy Consultants Ltd.

  • Specialist in dysphagia and aged care

  • Experience across community, hospital, governance, clinical education, equity, and of course residential care

  • Contributor to the dysphagia standards in Aotearoa

Renee’s work focuses on bridging the gap between clinical recommendations and real-world care, supporting teams to move from reactive management to confident, system-based practice.

Her work is grounded in a deep belief that eating and drinking are central to identity, dignity, and connection, not just clinical tasks.

Dr Tane A Taylor

Swallow & Speech Therapy Consultants Business Manager

A Distinguished Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, and Honorary Fellow of the RACP, Dr Tane Taylor is a critical thinker and strategic advisor to private health organisations and government agencies both in New Zealand and internationally. He is a GP Teacher, Fellowship Assessor. Dr Taylor was part of the RNZCGP Practice Standards Development Committee and continued as an assessor completing over 250 accreditation audits.

Tane is of maori descent and whakapapa to Tainui, Te Aroha and Takitimu waka. He is currently a consultant to and Medical Lead at Vensa Health NZ and Feedback Research Ltd Auckland and General Manager for Swallow and Speech Therapy Consultants Ltd. As an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Auckland , and with many years’ experience in the teaching, mentoring and supervision of medical students, house surgeons and registrars,

Tane’s main focus is on building, supporting and facilitating integrated learning environments within primary healthcare. He believes that through open and honest collaboration among all stakeholders – PHOs, DHBs, government agencies, universities, general practices, SLT’s, Physio, OT’s and communities – it is possible to deliver a high- quality, efficient and fit for purpose medical workforce ready and willing to serve New Zealand’s diverse peoples and communities. Dr Taylor is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors Dr Taylor is the Republic of Albania Honorary Consul to New Zealand.
